KIDSPORTS and Coaching Thousands of men and women from our community volunteer to coach KIDSPORTS teams. Some are experienced coaches from high school and college programs, but many have little or no experience being coaches or even know the rules of the game when they start. What they have is the love for their children and a commitment to the enrichment of the lives of all children in our community.
Coaching can be so much more than teaching the mechanics and rules of the game. Team sports offer players, parents and coaches an opportunity to experience intense emotions and insurmountable challenges in the confines of a relatively safe environment. Players learn to perform under the stress of competition and in front of an audience of friends and complete strangers.
