Registration with US Lacrosse is optional:

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the nation, with the bulk of that growth occurring in the West. There are currently 45 high school programs in Oregon with several new programs joining every year.

It’s important to sign up early to ensure your child is able to play on the team from your school area. Every effort will be made to try to place area players on teams based on the area in which they go to school and live.

KIDSPORTS will provide a jersey for each player.

Participants must provide their own equipment:

BOYS: Helmet (eye protection), gloves, stick, shoulder pads, elbow pads.

GIRLS: Eye protection, stick.

For 5th – 8th Grade: Loaner equipment is subject to availability and is based on first come, first served.

3rd-8th Grade Boys Lacrosse

3rd-4th Grade Boys

3rd/4th grade Mid Stix : ( $130)   Boys and Girls divisions.   7-8 games.   Play 6v6 or 7v7 (with Goalie) Modified contact rules.

  • Practice starts 3/21  Thur at Civic 5pm-6pm  and Tue (Location /Time TBD)  
  • Games start on April 14th. Saturdays at Civic Field, except first weekend is on Sunday 4/14.  

This program is designed for both the new player and for those with some Lacrosse skills.  Games are small sided, players play in full gear and modified rules.   Focus will be on developing and improving stick skills: catching, throwing, scooping, and shooting.  Players will also be introduced to team tactics and the concepts of positions and placement on the field.

Coaches create teams and can adjust rosters for competitive match ups on Saturdays.  

Boys need:  Helmet, Chest protector, Elbow pads, Gloves, Mouth guard, Stick.  

Girls need:  Eye protection, Mouth Guard and Stick. 

Some loaner gear available to check out for season.  First come first serve

5th-8th Grade Boys

Our goal for 2024  is to grow the sport of Lacrosse in the Eugene/Springfield area.   To reach this goal, this year we are offering two different levels of lacrosse leagues for for 5th-8th grades. Together we believe that they offer both the beginner player and the more advanced player opportunities to learn the game, refine their individual skills, have fun and build their love of Lacrosse.  

Eugene House League:  Small sided games of 7v7 ($130) 8 games

  • 2 practices a week. Days/Time/Location are determined by coaches.
  • Games start April 6th on Saturday at Civic Field.

This is our skills and development league to give every player the opportunity to learn the game in a fast, fun, easily accessible format.  This programs focus is on individual skill development. No travel, all games in Eugene on weekend.

Teams created based first on school/neighborhood of residence and then additionally in ways that create league balance and competitive parity.

Eugene Lax +Plus:  (Additional $30 fee) (MUST ALSO BE REGISTERED FOR THE EUGENE HOUSE LEAGUE ABOVE)

  • Players who decide to register for the +Plus program will play in the house league AND in the +Plus games ( 4  games) 
  •  1-2 additional  practices a week that will be determined by coaches. 
  • play 10v10 on the field

This program is for the player and family who want more lacrosse games and to learn the full field game tactics. Teams are created firstly based on school/neighborhood of residence and then additionally in ways that create balanced teams that are viable for competitive games. 

 ***This league will only be created if we have enough players to create “Plus” teams.  

Scheduling for additional games is TBD.   We schedule games with other youth programs that MAY Corvallis, Salem, Albany, Roseburg. Those schedules are dependent on those programs being able to field teams for the season.   In addition, teams may decide to enter youth tournaments in Oregon.
