Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the nation, with the bulk of that growth occurring in the West. There are currently 45 high school programs in Oregon with several new programs joining every year.
For the 2021 season, KS teams will play a non-contact version of the game recommended by US Lacrosse called Flex6: https://mcusercontent.com/f8786c4c6df7d3017d9db47fe/files/29cfc2e0-bcae-48bd-867f-5f8e26b8502c/Flex6Lacrosse_guidelines_FINALJuly2020.pdf
It’s important to sign up early to ensure your child is able to play on the team from your school area. Every effort will be made to try to place area players on teams based on the area in which they go to school and live.
Each team will play a minimum of six games.
There are three age groupings for boys and girls lacrosse: 3rd-4th grade, 5th-6th grade, and 7th-8th grade in which teams will be formed.
For more information on the sport of lacrosse, please visit US Lacrosse’s information site.
KIDSPORTS will provide a jersey for each player.
Participants must provide their own equipment:
BOYS: Helmet (eye protection), gloves, stick.
GIRLS: Eye protection, stick.
For 5th – 8th Grade: Loaner equipment (sticks) is subject to availability and is based on first come, first served.
