Ralph Myers Memorial Fund

Ralph Myers was a cornerstone figure in the local amateur and youth sports scene who for nearly four decades was the executive director of KIDSPORTS.

Myers was a high school and college basketball official, Pac-8 Conference baseball umpire and began coaching youth baseball teams while he was still in high school.

In 1956 he became the first paid employee of the Eugene Boys Athletic Association, a youth sports group that would eventually rename itself KIDSPORTS following the inclusion of girls teams in 1975 and addition of teams from Springfield and Pleasant Hill in the 1980s.

Myers held the role of executive director for 37 years until his retirement in 1993.
